if you are worried about crashing then you shouldnt be driving anyway.

you are never going to be able to recreate the exact same conditions that they had in a test lab.

if you feel extremely safe in your wrx, how about i take my tractor trailer and do a head on test with you at 40 mph. the results wont be favorable.

remember the saying "there is always something faster"? well, there is always something bigger too.

BTW  this is not aimed at YOU. just safety nazis in general.

Thats for a 96-00 Civic one of which I used to own....i had a head on collison in february with a NON MOVING VEHICLE when i was going about 70 MPH. I hit the brake and assume impact was about 45-55mph. I friend who witnessed it said my cars rear end jumped up in the rear.

I walked away with a neck sprain and a cut from broken glass.
If anyone drives that close to the dash as in either car, the quite frankly need to be shot! Plain and simple! My hood area was crumpled beyond recognition, and my cabin was perfectly in tact!

The point of my reply?
I dont believe one thing I read on that site.

"CAUTION: The kinetic energy a vehicle must absorb in a crash test increases with vehicle weight, so offset tests are more demanding of heavier vehicles. But people in heavier vehicles in real-world, 2-vehicle crashes typically fare better than people in lighter vehicles (in many single-vehicle crashes, weight offers no safety advantage). This is why test results shouldn't be compared among vehicles with large weight differences. "
