What samel is talking about above is a CO2 Sprayer.. not water. The CO2 will work better, but be more expensive to use(bottle refill).

They DO WORK, the warmer it is outside, the better it will work.
You also don't have to have the bottle mounted in the engine bay... it can be routed to use in the car.

A home built system Total cost should be about $90($15 + $75 for purge valve) If you get the valve used, the system could be as cheap as $20. 8)

When your ready to go, just push the button for a second to Ice the FMIC and your ready to race.

Or you can just buy one made here....

You'll want a pump that can provide a higher pressure than awaser pump or Aquarium pump could provide.

I'm guessing that it would still work, but not that effecently. But then again... it's CHEAP

This CO2 bottle is pretty big, but you could mount it in the back seat, although with it weighing 25 lbs, it probably isn't worth it.

This is probably a better size...

Is a 20oz CO2 bottle enough, or would it need to be bigger?
The bottle size depends on how much use want to use it.
I would say 20oz should be enough for 1-2 continueus minuets. That should be enought for a few 10second freezing sessions.

It will work better than watter, but as stated above, it's not something you would have ample of like water.
