Installed Greddy Catch Can

Got the Greddy Catch Can from Exhaust Depot. Fairly easy install. Toughest part is just getting the tie wraps in place to hold it. Make sure you get the longest tie wraps possible, at least 14" (preferably longer).

looks good. did you notice any extra hp on the butt dyno?
Nah. It just keeps the engine internals cleaner. I had oil collecting at the bottom of the intercooler before, and now that I'm adding boost, there's probably even more oil being blown out. This will catch that.
Were there any mods needed to make it fit, or was it basically a drop in piece? What tools do you need?
It's drop in. Very easy. No special tools required. Just screwdriver, pliers (to tighten the cable wraps) and a blade to cut the hose with.

The hose it comes with does collapse when at idle though (full vacuum). I'm considering putting in some different hose. Maybe braided stainless steel.
I used to use those kind of hoses with my catch can, I switched to just a tougher rubber hose though I think SS is overkill. Yours is a lot prettier than mine. :p
please dont think i am that stupid. i was just joking about the butt dyno thing, but forgot the smilie.
Yea I would suggest some opaque hose for that. That pretty clear hose is going to get all nasty and brown/black in no time :) Braided stainless would look really nice. 8)
The kit I supply with the can comes with clamps and metal tubing that goes insde the hose so it wont collapse. The vacuum is very strong. Thats why the stock hose is made out of plastic.

Sorry. I didn't know you were joking. But I don't think you're stupid.

So...would this help to keep the oil cleaner longer?

ED, can you verify this....if you don't mind.

Thanx!

Don't worry, I already think you are stupid. :p

This is NOT a power adder, it helps prevent the intake manifold from sludging up some and reduces carbon deposits in the engine from oil burning. At my last oil change (#2), I noticed that my oil level was a lil low. My guess is that some of it was consumed by the engine and the rest is in the catch tank. Ill be opening it up after 3k miles so you guys can see how much oil will be caught.
Woo! PICS PICS hehehehehehe :p
