Hey man, Got the gauges and the wideband in today.... but how do these fit into the stock pod????? I have two stock pods that these are going into and the mounts don't seem to reach.
Yes to install in a stock SRT-4 pod, VEI supplies stud extenders. Theyre just female-to-female couplers with 6-32 thread. You can then use a regular 6-32 screw on the back of that for whatever length you need. PM me your address and I'll send you a couple sets.
I got the stud extenders, but the studs that are on the gauges are still too long to line up with the holes in the pods.... do you suggest cutting the studs on the gauges or trying to modify the pods?
Too long? Odd. But yes you can cut them. Tape up the holes on the back of the gauge first! Then you can cut with a dremel cutoff wheel and bevel the tips with a file or the same wheel... carefully. If you cut them with some type of cutting pliers, you'll need to do more beveling of the edges else the nut may not go on due to the distorted threads right at the cut.
