well ive been researching turbos and just learning as much as i can on different styles

now i have a 2002 chevy cavalier besides my 04 srt

im doing a turbo project for the cavalier and im getting a T3/T04E

what is the difference in a 50 trim and 57 trim? pretty much is it just 50 trim will spool faster than the 57 trim?

and how do i size the A/R? do i want .48 or .63, can anyone explain what these numbers mean

i am knew to picking out these options so please cope with my lack of knowledge on turbo specs.

thank you

i think the lower a/r will spool quicker....
if you're running a 2 liter or smaller , stay away from .63 a/r ...unless it's
a "drag only car"....

.63 will be REALLY laggy on a 2 liter or smaller!

The bigger the A/R turbine housing the laggier it will become, but more efficient it will be because as you turn the boost higher and higher it can flow more air and support more power, BUT therefore will be laggier in bottom RPM's due to you having to force more air to "fill" the bigger housing.
