i got black smoke and wet pipes
the other day i went to wash my car and i noticed that there was black wet sut in my pipes and there was black residue on the rear bumper my guess is that its running rich but there are no performance mods othere than a turboxs blow off valve the one with a horn i know that not a performance mod and its all hooked up correctly. But i remember reading somewhere that having a bov that blows into the atmoshere makes it run rich is that true? and i also have a the code 1188 wich is man air fuel metering whatever that means how do i fix that the right way not plugging the red and green lines. O and what does it mean when i hear the turbines slapping its almost like the bov is blowing all the way off u know what i mean what can i do to fix this? i really need so help on this matter cus i went to the dealer 3 times and they dont know i think they never seen an srt before:rofl:

Take pictures of the wastegate and post them up?
Our cars run rich stock, get a map clamp and you will be very happy with the additional power as well. Need to get it tuned on a dyno so you know your AFR's and know its running safe.
i will get pis of my wastegate a.s.a.p. but what the hell is a map clamp and what does afr mean
well i found out i have a stock wastegate so what else could b causing black smoke and running rich its just bugging the shit out of me that everyday i have too clean my rear bumper cus of the fing smoke the car is completely stock there are no mods i tried wiggiling the tps wires and nothing idk i need some more insight
Have someone follow you to see if it's blowing black smoke or if it's just black residue from running pig rich as already stated. Where at in Pa? If you have alot of black residue on the tips and it won't come off with soap and water use 0000 steel wool soaked in water. It takes it right off and doesn't scratch it. Good luck

Almost all srt4s have crap in their exhaust pipe's tips.
the dealer did and its not a little i have a yellow srt and the rear bumper is almost all black with little black dots everywhere idk thats what they said that its my turbo blowing oil like a muther trucker and if its not going sieze now its going to happen real soon and poss. burn a hole in my pistons or piston

Very interesting as the OBD II Diagnostic tool say,s code P1188 is a Manufacturer control air fuel metering problem.
I think I would definetly take it to another dealership and get a second opinion, or a good speed shop that has diagnostic capability and certified talent.

the car is completely stock there is no wastgate or boost controler in it. how to u come up with that the code 1188 is overboost?
that black shit that was in pipes and on bumper was oil bowimg right by my turbo, but its all fixed now and i got a new turbo and cel thing fixed it was airinlet sensor and solenoid no more richness either now its time to modd like crazy now that i know car is working properly :rofl:
