How bad would it be to run one of our cars without an air filter? For, lets say, a week? Hypothetical of course. :flame:

EDIT:
I guess the lower and upper duct for the Iceman CAI were not aligned properly when I tightened the shit out of the clamp holding the lower duct and it just popped off. I had noticed that the "flutter" had gotten Really loud over the past couple of days but thought nothing of it. I popped my hood yesterday to find that the lower duct was no longer connected. It was still there (thank God) but it had fallen further into the wheel well. I hooked everything back up and she seems to be running fine but I hope I did not cause some long-term damage somewhere down the line. :crying:

change your oil & filter then put a new air filter on, it probably sucked up some dirt so you might want to clean the intake out too w/ some carb cleaner of some sort. If any chunks of dirt got into your cylinders then your going to either burn it up w/ combustion or if its metallic flakes or debris then it could scratch up your cylinder walls helping to wear the rings and honing of the cylinder walls - Thus causing blow by and ring failure effectively reducing the compression of the cylinder with debris in them.

This hypothetical car was driven in very rainy conditions. Lets just say that the lower duct of the intake fell off. I just did an oil change about 2 weeks ago, I guess I should do another one just to be safe. Hypothetically speaking of course.

We have nothing but dirt and sand everywhere! I guess it is a good thing that it has been raining a lot recently.

there was a few times we ran the red srt with the psi-fi intake disconnected because that restriction robbed us of power....

down at the Albuquerque track......

as long as nothing gets in the turbo your ok......
