It pretty damn quite, I heard Rivens and he has it on his 430+ hp SRT-4 and its not as loud as youd think, personally the tips are 4.5 inches and are a little to much for my taste, but for $500 you cant beat it.

I have the HP exhaust and for the $ can't be beat!! things to look out for though:
the muffler packing was being blown out for sometime after the intial install...and I mean CHUNKS of the fiberglass!!; both hangers for the muffler cracked off the pipes which cost me $40 bucks to have rewelded....sound is quieter than stock cruising, but a little louder WOT and mean/sporty...the stainless pipes are thin, but still stainless

BTW, if you're looking at making more power (and dropping a few lbs. in the process) look at the new upcoming ScottFabulous side exhaust w/resonator.

I'm still waiting to hear it myself, but considering how much shorter it is than a full exhaust, the weight savings alone is worth a good .25 of a second...not to mention freer flowing, less bends, less backpressure, etc.
I always like the idea of less weight if at all possible.

RoostBoost, I have the same exhaust no problems with cracking, or glasspack issues.

If the glasspack on mine does go out - i'll just get a different muffler welded on (can't stand the noise). It's still a darned good deal.

A local peep - pgthe1 had problems with his though, the glasspack was funked up and rattling inside.. Dunno if he got it replaced or if it was warrantied..

Most inexpensive mufflers have the fiberglass like sound absorbtion material wrapped right around the perofrated core. This leaves it exposed to the exhasut path and in increased chance of blowing out.

More expensive mufflers have a stainless steel mesh or wool around the perforated core, and a layer of sound deadening material around the wool. The steel wool keeps the packing material from blowing out of the core. This pretty much garentees the packing will never burn or blow out.

.25 off?? I dont think so. Every 100lbs is .1 off. So unless the exhaust is 250lbs I highly doubt you will gain that much.
maybe that's too much for just weight savings alone...but i believe that exhaust could possibly run that much better for the car, being so short and free flowing, lighter to boot. The HPexhaust isn't That much of a performer...i believe a simple swap of those two could gain that difference. I guess the only way to truly know for sure would be for ScottFabulous to make me one and i can do the dyno run (on me)...no better advertizing than that, especially to those who want to witness gains.

and not just the dyno alone...Moroso speedway in West Palm, FL is 7 minutes from my house, 1/4 times are easily verifiable with my exhaust vs Scott's.

of course the ScottFabulous side exhaust would have to be complimentary...it's strictly for testing purposes (and giving it back is at my discretion)

Magnaflow's mufflers are made top quality just like Scott described how a good muffler is made....my Hp exhaust did get a lot louder at idle and WOT after the packing blew out....it's still pretty quiet and for the $ can't be beat..IMO
