good job thinking about that. I have always thought about doing some sort of filtering device for my ride as well. I will try it tommarrow.

This is a good idea! My city is very dusty and yesterday there was a sandstorm here... i will do this at once.

I thought maybe this car had a cabin air filter.

Does the SRT-4/Neon not have a cabin filter? I thought pretty much all cars after about 2000 or so had this.
nope! the first gen ones have them (behind the glove box), but very few vehicles have them. mostly minivans and expensive luxury cars. its very rare nowadays

rare? No, virtually every car has them! It just seems that the american car companies don't like them....
well i say that because i work at Merchant's (NTB, tire kingdom, etc.) and i rarely see one come thru. maybe one a month. and the ones i do see are dirty as hell, every one looked like someone had explosive diarhea on it.

i didn´t take pics, but installing a filter in the car is pretty easy, just follow the steps mentioned, all you need is a torx screwdriver.

Once you pull out the plastic cover on the base of the windshield, look for 3 plastic grids, there are 2 on the passenger side, and a little one on the driver´s side, just pull them and cut the filters to the size of each grid, and put them back on their place.

I used a vacuum cleaner filter to make my own dust filter, i bought a koblenz filter bags set on walmart which is a foam and 3 paper filters, and used it to cut 3 filters that i put on the grids.

Greetings!
