I tried to take off those clips when I was removing my transmission. Gave up. I took off the bracket with the clips still attached. Good luck

Unless there is an actual issue with the cables or brackets, I don't think anyone takes them apart, they just remove the two small bolts and tie the bracket off to the side during engine/transmission work. Probably for this reason.

Well I took em off for some reason, now I gotta get em on with something.

spray with wd40 when installing and they will go on alot easier

get them started and and use something blunt to hit on the top of them and they will go on also like and punch and hammer or a 3/8 socket extension you dont care about.
