Sounds about right if it is making over 500 and is reliable. Your transmission should cost about as much as a stout short block assembled. Suspension including a good wheel and tire combo will come close to the cost of those two as well. A good assembled head is a couple grand. 12-1400 for a fuel setup. My turbo setup with a Treadstone Log manifold puts mine on the cheaper side being around 2k. Put a cage in it and you are getting close to 20-25k in parts. Add the price of a srt-4 in 2010 with 900 miles on it and that surely puts me over 30k.

If you do your own work, you can do it for way less, but it's all good no matter how you do it. We are all having fun with our hobby.

Being in the military, not much down time, always moving, no time to do most work myself. So I paid for every motor build. People need to make a living, and i want to go fast lol.
