According to the feedback I got from the last poll, it could have had better dollar amounts on it, so I am now creating one with more realistic numbers for all the big spenders we have here. Please come in and vote again as it is very important that we provide Chrysler with the accurate information they need. Added up all the parts currently on the car, plus slicks/wheels. Total is over $10,700. :eeeek:

This doesn't include installation costs (some free, some not), consumables, 2 broken trannies, 2 broken clutches, tools, lots of tires, and parts I bought, then later removed.

If I added all that up, it would be really depressing.

Looks like I need to join a 10-step program. :jester:

That's all parts. I'm the only person that touches my cars, besides my wife and kids riding. The only labor I've paid was $125 to get a spoiler painted.

Over $10k on the Neon and I don't want to talk about the Caliber... over $24k on that little bastard!

We looked into the motor very first thing with the Caliber and that cost us 2 motors, 3 cyl heads and a whole bunch of axles, 2 transmissions and 4 different clutches. That doesn't include the actual parts I put on the car either.

The Neon I have built mostly with our own parts, so this has kept the costs down some. If I were to take into account the dozens of manifolds (intake and exhaust), all the turbos and complete motor cores we have purchased, we are over $20k into the neon in parts alone, but not all those are installed on our personal shop car.
