Ground rules.

Facts, as we have them. Complete costs. No names.

If ya don't want to play, that's cool.

We will use $3600 as our price for Stage 3 with Toys. And the hp numbers from the lightweight car.

I contend you cannot beat that level of performance for the price. Match it, yep, beat it consistently and safely, nope.

Bystanders, if this debate bothers you, leave the thread.

Retarded question are we using 3600 as a walking away price, or a MSRP?? SII toys can be had for 1300, so I'd hope 2300 would buy the fixings for stage III..

Can't wait for this to unfold lol.

We'll call it $3600 flat out the door, upgrades from S2 don't count.

And what I have done is allowed for a place to hold this debate in a civilized manner without causing havoc in someone elses thread. Have a seat, enjoy the show:) As far as the "You can't do this til it is released" thing, if folks would hold on the bashing til it is released, that would be fine.

and I know myfault typed something, but that avatar of his makes my eyes water, so it was blurred. :)

The lightweight car doesn't have the mopar catback, so how does that factor in? Is the downpipe included with the $3600 price? What about the catback? Also that was stage 3R wasn't it (not stage 3 with toys)? Do you know the entire mods list for the lightweight car? Is it just stage 3R and the side exit exhaust? How big is the side exit exhaust (2.5 or 3")? Just wondering...cuz I think it could be beaten reliably with the $3600 + exhaust + any other mods on the lightweight car. Who said stage 3R was reliable anyway, it isn't even available...yet! Post the dyno #'s too if you could for easy reference.

isn't that supposed to be 3600$ + 320$ for the Mopar catback exhaust?
Agreed. Same cuts both ways. If the competition needs exhaust to reach the targets, add it in:) Oh, and no dumps allowed, some semblance of legality should be mantained. (enough to pass a roadside inspection).: )

1. Side exit, size unknown. Price should be about the same, WHP efect unknown. + 15whp, maybe?

2. Downpipe? Don't know, since it's not on the "required but not included" list that it's included.

3. Yep, it was 3R, as far as we know, that means racepipe, no cat. We can assume any competitor at this level most likely won't have one either.

4. As far as we have been told, it was the 3R side exit. no more. We know it has the stock intercooler and airbox.

So, you are saying $3600 + exhuast and you can beat the numbers reliably? Oh, and I think they were 350whp pump, 370 whp racegas.
As far as the reliability, I'm assuming the same level as Stage 1 and 2, since it has had to pass the stock reliability tests, oh, and seems to be running fine in SCCA ProRally. I would love to wait itl it's released, but since folks won't wait to slam it, why should I wait?

and folks, bear with me, I'm one guy, plus I gotta go fetch a movie and pizza so if I'm not right back, bear with me:)

Doesn't pawning something mean you intend to buy it back eventually?

So lets assume you bought the base psi-fi kit @ $3600 bucks plus a 3 inch no cat exhaust, do you honestly think that that car with the same level of weight reductions would not run better than a 11.8??
I know it runs low 12's with no other modifications so lets take out 300+ pounds...I think it would be faster IMO. You already know its reliable as Mike ran 30K on it :).
Also note that the Stg3R car had an upgraded clutch and likely a few other things I can not think of, to duplicate that setup I would guess it would be closer to 4K+ assuming that Stg3 alone is 3K that is.

Now please do NOT take that as a Stg3 bash as I personally DO like it...just adding fuel :)

Can't seem to find a whole lot of times, and none for S3, of course.

My though is that the PI-FI $3600 and exhaust will be generally a little quicker, all else being equal.

As far as the low 12's with no other mods, is that Scott? Take a closer look:) It's hard to use him. While he has never dragged before, he was on slicks and has maybe 600-800 above the "no other mods", counting the intercooler and the 750cc injectors. Figure if they balance out, it's low 12s on slicks about where S3 is geussed to be in a stock weight car.

So it's hard to say what a more experienced racer with a car without those extras would do.

No knocking Scott or his car or PSi-FI. Ask anyone, I like thier stuff second best:) And has the ability to be MUCH faster, I know that. It's the cash flow thing:)

As far as when it's out, hell, got me:) Long before I got the cash, I'm pretty sure:crying: MY crystal ball (WITH NO INSIDER INFO TO BACK THIS UP!!!SO DON"T QUOTE ME!!!!!!) says October.
