What the is 113.8?,,,, am I the only person that noticed this, when the guy says "but its the numbers that make this car impressive, 0-60 in 5.6 seconds, 113.8, and the quarter mile in 14.2".. what the hell is he talking bout 113.8?,, it was just like thrown in the middle of that sentence for no reason, does anybody have an idea as to what they are refering to?

Also.. what is the complaint about the shifting in the car?.. "reluctant" doesnt really describe what is bad about it, or am I just retarded?

Thanks

Maybe he said "a hundred in 13.8", sounds like "one hundred-thirteen point eight", but meaning that it reaches 100mph in 13.8 seconds.

That's a good question, and I've seen it answered before. I think it has something to do with the fact that time-to-speed is measured differently than time-to-distance.

1/4 ET is time-to-distance, which isn't a perfect measure of time-to-speed. If you don't get it I could try to mumble on more about it, but someone else could surely do a better job... volunteers? =]

Trap speed is lower than the speed you are actually traveling at when you cross the ¼ mile mark. This is because your trap speed is measured by how long it takes you to travel the last 60’ (I think it’s 60 anyhow.)

Your actual speed will be 3 – 5 MPH higher than your trap speed indicates.

This used to be a gtech-pro FAQ posted on their website…

maybe the 113.8 is in feet, as a stopping distance?

The magazine comparo shows it at 0-100 in 14.0 and quarter mile in 14.1 at 102 mph. That makes more sense. At 100 mph, it's just short of the finish line.
it will take longer than .1 seconds to go 2 mph, at that speed, for a car that will go to ~150.

it might be 2 different runs, if that is what they are claiming. or a misprint.
