I have my 2.4 block at the machine shop trying to match up clearance with pistons and rings as well as get my crank balanced. I was told that i would need a bigger clearance? The instructions say .0004 or maybe bigger with high turbo applications. I believe Frank at Xtremeboost said to go .0007 to get a good end gap. I am rebuilding my daily driver with New Clevite Bearings , JE Pistons .20 over, and Eagle Rods. I was told the rods were not really neccessary but these shouldn't be a problem for a 450-500 Hp daily driver, or maybe I am wrong . Let me know what you think. My last stock rods had the rings lands above them break from detonation and was told the rods might be compromised.

Any help would be highly appreciated
