I am trying to put the dollor mod on my brothers SRT-4. This is what I have done: put T in black 1/4" line off of compressor housing. branched from there to another T. one side from previous T, one side to waste gate, 3rd side with a rubber cap withsizes varying from pin hole to 3/16" hole with no difference in boost. I can only get to 5 psi. Whats wrong? I capped the original line off of waste gate.

ok dude wrong totaly wrong. See take it all off and start from stock. Take the line that goes into the wastegate and pulg into one of the 1/4 side of the tee then with a3-4 inch section of hose connect the the remaining 1/4 side of tee to the wastegate. Thats it

1st round: 13PSI steady - No spikes

2nd round: Took nail clipper and cut the tip of bleeder for bigger hole; 16PSI steady - No spikes

3rd round: Heated bleeder tip to shrink the hole; 15PSI steady - No spikes

Even just 13PSI, there was sooo much difference in performance! 16PSI, the phrase "Grab life by the horns" all of a sudden makes sense! Right now I got it locked at 15PSI. I'm happy; so far no spikes. But the HKS BOV screams like never before!!! :twisted:

You're saying that without doing anything to the 1/8" hole, you were at 13psi and no higher spikes? Interesting. For me, that hole was too big and I had to make it smaller.

Thanks!! That did it. I was trying to hook it up the same as my HPMBC I did yesterday. I got it to about 15 psi, but he wants more.

tell him more is not good...spiking is not good trust me :? Now what i would suggest is you stick some mounts or insetrs on his car cause as he will soon leatn, launching with this mod is a royal bitch

No. I followed your instructions, MacGuyer. I played with the heating and clipping until I got it to 15PSI. No spikes on any tested configuration. It hit the mark and stayed there.

BOV may be helping out a lot on spikes cuz I had spikes on full stock configuration/setup.

I made another one that is 1/4", 1/4", and 1/8" set but I have not installed that one yet.

Maybe spikes are only on the black SRT-4s :lol:

I hope a/f is good at 15psi. I wanted to keep it at 16psi, but, even though I was not getting any spikes, I'm hoping the 15psi will give enough room for little spikes.

What do you think?

I got him up to about 16 psi, but only maybe 1/2 psi spike. His still doesnt spool nearly as fast or as early as my HPBC, and thats why I have about 1-2 psi spikes. I am at work, so no pics right now.

you are good...Terminator and i are seeing 15-16 with a few 17 spikes but he doesnt want me to turn it down. Hes hooked and eventhough he gets a CEL he wont let me turn it down to 15psi

1st, there was that "secret mod" for a while. Then the race video. You guys got the likes of me at thge edge of our chairs. Then the suspense of waiting...then the abs-of-steel-like-ad video...then the MacGuyer skillz. :twisted:

i told you guys then that until i could figure out a CEL-less way to use this that i wasnt gonna let everyone know but the race between Grunge and Terminator from a stop got the best of Grunge. He quickly summoned me to try it on his car and when it didnt go as planned he put his skills to work and brought that fix i was lookin for. I think one of the weirdest moments of this whole mystery srt4 was when the $1 modded SRT4 despite a one car deficit out of the hole took a EBC'ed SRT4 by a car at 100mph :shock: :roll: :twisted:

BTW, my test drive on all setup is well over 65 miles. So I think I tested it enough to say that I am not getting any spikes. It's just lock & load! :twisted:
