Help tranny!!!!!!

I've read this a few times and I'm still not understand what happened. That run on sentence thing kills me.

The other guy said shift selector, but I know when I broke mine that I wasn't going in any gear no matter how hard I tried.

Shift selector is not broke.

Anyone any possible ideas what could be wrong with the car

Does it give you problems going into gear while you are moving? Or sitting still? Or both? Clutch feel normal?

Gives me problems both moving and still like I can play around with it long enough and 1-2-5-R will work but if I try shifting into 3rd or 4rth then 1-2-R stop working its like pushing a ton of bricks trying to get into those gears so if I do try to shift into 3rd or 4rth then I only have 3-4-5 and 5th is in the neutral spot.

Oh and yeah the clutch feels pretty normal

wheres all the tranny guru........... i think some of us have shifting problems here help

Is this consistently happening, whether the car is cold, or has been running for a long period of time?

Only reason why I ask, is because my car seems to be doing the same thing, but only when the car warms up. Everything shifts fine when i start is up in the morning and commute to work, but when I go to lunch, or drive home, it starts to act up.

If it were the transmision, I think it would be consistently happening whehter cold or not. I was told to look into the pressure plate, and check for wear or dirtyness.

for me its constant so its defnitely the tranny someone today told me it might be some forks

yeah somebody just got done telling me it was one of my forks too

well im gona take it up to dodge to see if i can get wqrranty work done on it if not then i am just gona have to pay out of my pocket to get a new tranny

this just happened to my friend also in his 05 acr...wont go into ANY gear and he was also ripping into 3rd gear......shifter still moves, centers etc but will NOT go into gear, wont even grind them....HELP TOO!!! :eeeek:

well.. i just got done yanking my tranny.. w/similar issues...
(stuck in 4th gear)..

havent opened it up, but i suspect that the fork (3->4) broke and is impeeding the movement into any other gear...

my shift selector was fine.... (so i got an extra now.. yay)
