Help installing 02 housing in Lakeland?

454 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  phreeezer
I live in Lakeland Florida and was wondering if anyone on this forum could help me install my 3" 02 housing. I would be willing to pay whoever could help me. I have 3" MPX exhaust but still have not installed the 02 housing, and i'm thinking about not installing it at all--because I think the gains on a stock turbo are negligible.

Anyway, can someone help me install this thing, or will you steer me to someplace where I can get it installed? I took it to a Midas and the guy said it would cost me around $200. He said he would have to take off the alternator bracket and some other bracket???? Ugh. I bought this thing and just want to get it installed. I attempted to do it myself but gave up, btw.

I've done more of these than I care to admit. They are not fun. I will do it for you - PM me for price. There is NO alternator bracket removal.

However, I would HIGHLY recommend that before you have it put on, you buy a ported manifold. From a porter's standpoint, it is almost worthless to put a 3" O2 housing on an unported manifold - you just move the bottleneck further up the exhaust path.
my dad owns and i work at 'Tompsons auto clinic' in lakeland. its a nice size repair shop. we can do it there for much, much less than $200. if your interested give us a ring at 863-688-8975 (ask for nick), or come over 1639 west memorial blvd.we would be happy to install it. we have all the tools and ramps avaliable. we are open from 8am to 5pm monday through to friday. please note this is not spam i'm just offering you our service.

Well me and a buddy ended up doing it tonight.. just finished about an hour ago. It was a bitch. I don't really know if I can tell much of a difference just yet.. but the turbo can be heard much better than with the stock 02 housing.
