OK, my dealer in western mass is dicking me around. evil they took my down payment in December, cashed the check even. My salesman goes for training next Friday. So i called today to bug him about when the car would be in, he tells me they can't even order it yet! This is BS! I know some of you (srtgurl) have bought in mass. I need to know what dealers in mass have the srt-4. the dodge website isn't working. I will take my business elsewhere, but I need to know where! HELP!

Now they tell me they can't get one from another dealer either! I am so pissed right now x Since they cashed my check what options do i have? I can demand the money back but then I am right back where I started and I refuse to pay over MSRP. Anyone with experiece dealing with pain in the ass dealers, your input would be appreciated!

well CJ, sorry to hear about that...i got my car from Westboro Dodge/Toyota on RT.9. when i was looking into finding an SRT-4 Framingham Dodge gave me a call cause that day they just had gotten a silver one, so i went over to Framingham Dodge and talked to the sales manager and they wanted lots over sticker. that same day while i was out on RT.9 i got a call from Westboro Dodge/Toyota that they got a Flame Red SRT-4 in. i headed down to just take a look at it and it was in the showroom for about 6hrs. i told them i wasn't going to pay over sticker and the salesman said, "why would you" and i went on and on about the price gouging going on with these cars. 1hr later with no money down i walked out with my car! and mind you, i just went over to take a look at it!

So Westboro Dodge on RT.9 Westboro and Ron Bouchards in Fitchburg Mass won't charge over sticker...but the larger 5 star dealers are getting them first! westboro Dodge was supposed to get a second one. i think silver.

as of right now i know Framingham Dodge has a silver and black one but way over sticker, and HARR dodge here in worcester has a silver one in the front of the dealer and they too want over sticker!

OK. I spent most of the afternoon calling dealers across new england. What a pain in the ass! I finally found one 1 hour away from home, Berterra Dodge in Springfield. On the phone I got him down from $21,995 to $20,595. Going to see him tomorrow. I need advice, should I go for it? They will only offer me $2500 for my trade (2000 Neon, 5 speed, AC, mint) Right now I don't like the trade offer. Thinking of financing the whole thing and selling my Neon for about $5500. I think I can get that. What do you guys think? I will be getting my down payment back from dealer #1 in the morning.

Yeah, its actually one of only a few. I bought it because it was quick enough to drive in boston where i worked at the time. The automatics were dogs and it was dependable transportation. I love the car and wish I could keep it for a winter ride but I can't aford both payments. Book on it is $5995 according to NADA. Its in great shape with just 37K on it. Sucks the dealer wants to only give me $2500 for it.

They're only giving you $2500 as a backhanded way of marking up the SRT. They'd probably give you $4000 for your Neon if you had agreed to pay $22000 for the SRT.

My advice to you is to nail down the $20500 or less and then sell your Neon through the auto-trader. You'll probably save another 3-4K that way.

My $0.02

Yeah I agree with turbo4life an underpants. In fact, that's my current situation. I just put my SVT on the market last Friday and it'll be going into to the autotrader by the end of the week. I want an SRT-4 pretty damn bad, but time is on my side. The '04's should be out by september and then all these 03's will be selling for way less than sticker. Plus the '04's are gonna have the LSD option from the factory, which is very cool and a pain in arse to do (I know cause I put one in my SVT). I'm not sure if I could live without one in another fast front wheel drive vehicle. Wheelhop in my SVT used to be outa control, now I can drive it without any. Patience is huge. Also, when SRT4's start hitting the used market, I'll get some sort of idea about the resale value of em. It should be better than a regular neon, but neons have one of the worst resales around (kia and hyaundai don't count since they aren't even really cars  ). I guess what I'm saying is, I feel ya man, but know that you're not the only one fighting the good fight here.
