I am suprised that more people dont run this turbo honestly. It has the spool of s3r but more overall potential.
NIVO, the graphs look really good, and I'm sure I am with many others that really like what you have done with your car.

Murray
BTW, I have the same kit as you, just figured I would give the 3076r a shot.

Jean loves her kit, her turbo is crazy on the street.

How is the lag? (Or lack of) I have a 50 trim and it has a little too much lag for my taste. Thinking of switching to a dbb.

Just look at the graph! wastegate fully opened at 3500 rpms on the dyno.

On the street about 3200rpms.

im thinking of getting the gt3071 in the spring but im wondering how much longer it takes to spool the gt3076....
About the same really, car has not been dyno tuned yet (cam gears, etc) but it goes from a normal driving car to a tire shredding nghtmare in about 200 RPM's, LOL! I usually take my eyes off the tach by about 3400 RPM's, that's when things get loud and happen very fast, almost like hitting a patch of ice towing a camper up a hill feelings...........:hi:  :readclose

Reason I bought this one versus the 3071 is almost identical spool but it is supposed to be able to make over 100 more HP, I figured for like the 200 bucks extra.......

I would like to get Jean to drive my car someday, I am a crappy drag racer but I want to know what it does.

NIVO sorry that this does not directly pretain to the 3071r...

But I have to correct this small piece of misinformation.

The 3071r will spool FASTER than the 3076r. So those of you getting a 3076r and looking at this post, your turbo will NOT spool better than this, in fact it will spool worse than this.

That is one of the reasons the 3071r is such a nice turbo, its spool time really can't be beat except for by a stock turbo.

Anyone? I know some Cali guys have this turbo?
:ninja: Pagman dyno'd 390 WHP at 22 psi, and 400 something @ 24 psi.

A bunch do, at least in SoCal.. Boost wise, this is about 200 RPM slower than S3 at least from the butt dyno.. Neverthleless, it doesn't run out of breath at top. It's smaller brother, the GT2871R would be about the same as S3 spool wise.

Too bad there ain't no proper standalone, hence mine's for sale (ATP kit). Anything bigger than this turbo is a big waste of time in a FWD car (and will most likely destroy your oil pump).

To get a good comparison on how this turbo performs, take a look at the EVO owners w/ the same turbo.. Their stock turbo pretty much spools like S3 (16g), and the 3071R's only spool up slightly later, neverthleless makes quite a bit more power.

This turbo, S2 injectors, S2 PCM, and a return fuel kit at 58 psi base would be a darned good street combo (at the street boost levels the S2 ECU is designed for - 15-18 psi).

In regards to the ATP kit, the O2 housing is not very well built.

This turbo, coupled with the KINETIC MOTORSPORTS hardware (also uses a cast manifold, *MUCH BETTER O2 HOUSING*), coupled with SIEMENS DEKA 630 cc/mins injectors, Return fuel kit and an AEM EMS == heaven.

I am really looking into this turbo as well, I am not a big fan of the 50trim as this has just as much potential and spools faster = better turbo on the street...if you want a drag type turbo then get a GT40 anything in between is just a waste in my opinion.
However I dislike the log manifold...it is great that it is cast but I want a good tubular manifold to go along with this turbo (AMS, ultimate performance) or a cast tubular (psifi when ever it comes out).
