ok, so my bf had a spare Hallman Boost Controller laying around for sometime so he decided to install it and this is what he says.

Boost controller installed per nathan's instructions on the turboxs site.wastegate hose disconnected(black hard plastic),installed Hallmans "to wastegate" hose to nipple on wastegate. "To Boost Source" from the Hallman was "T'd" at the green line where the rubber connector meets both green hard plastic lines.

Impressions:
boost can now be set to the stock wastegate set-up, with the Hallman the car pulls a low 5psi with the screw all the way out. unlike a DSM, 1 quarter turn doesn't equal 1 psi. it's much less. From a stock wastegate psi of 5 we turned the screw four 1/4 turns and the boost went to 14psi! thats one full turn for you dsm'ers.

went for our butt-dyno ride, turbo now starts spooling at 1800rpms (it can be heard loudly) boost quickly jumps to a nice and steady 14psi.
car was blazing quick with 1st gear being just crazy!

there is no boost spikes at all...boost is steady all the way to 5700rpms where it falls to 13.5psi to redline. THERE IS NO CrAzY BOOST SPIKES!

Has anyone else installed a Hallman Boost Controller?

Now for the CEL part... we got a CEL after a few hard runs, minutes later while cruising down 190N in MA, the ding sounded and alas the CEL light came on. now how do we pull the CEL codes?

Car runs fine...no problems whatsoever.

OK, Jean talking here now:
OMG, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

CAN'T WAIT TO GET THIS THING ON THE RACE TRACK!!!! I FIGURE I'LL HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING INTO THE 13'S NOW...

Do not T off the Green vacuum line from the turbo. YOu want to T off the other uh... nipple. :)

THere are two nipples on the turbo, one with a green vacuum and another with if i recall a blue vacuum. YOu want to T off from that one. YOu might still get a Cel, but not as quick as if you had it T to the green line.

ok...

SRTGURLs BF here:

i used these instructionshttp://www.turboxs.com/turboxssrt4.htm to connect the Hallman Boost Controller. it works great except triggering the CEL early on. we had the HBC in for about 1hr with a few hard runs.

so better results come from tapping into the left side compressor housing brass nipple? there is a smaller blue hard plastic tube connected to it, am i right Hector?

P1188 - Throttle Inlet Pressure (TIP) Rationality. This code commonly sets when running a MBC due to excessive part throttle boost.
