gas mileage

War story?

i havent been able to get more than 23 mpg. on highway. any body else having the same results as low as 16 mpg

i agree, i haven't figured out the exact mileage i've been getting (maybe 240 miles on 1 tank)... but it feels like i'm filling it up ALOT more then i should be.

I'm consistently averaging 22mpg with 50/50 freeway/city. I've hit 130mph a few times, run over 100mph a lot on the freeway, and I cruise at 80-85mph generally.

I used a tank of gas on a trip for easter and it was mixed with a very little city driving and I got exactly 26mpg, and that included about 12 passes that where 5th gear to the floor overtakes. The trip was on mostly 2 lane highway going to the west cost of Florida. My car has about 2300 miles on it.

Steve, how is the car running with the ATP setup? Any problems encountered afterwards?

No, its running great, the best part is rolling up to a 3 lane stop light next an old lady in a Crown Vic, or something, reving it up and holding it at about 2500 RPM's, goosing it a bit more and letting the rev's drop.....********KKKKAAAAAPPPPOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!********, You can just see the pace maker trying to keep everything going,...lol :lol: , that makes it worth it right there!

so what could possibly be causing mine and Rice-a-roni's cars to be so much *thirstier* then everyone elses? :?

I have not checked city driving, which is what I mostly do, but I am guessing 15-18 average, when driving city, I am WAY more like to goose it in each gear, boost=guzzleing gas

Mixed highway and city mileage,

Lowest i have seen is 17MPG, highest was about 26 just over the weekend.
50/50 city/highway for the weekend tank, and that included several rice burning runs from 60-120.

I get 19-20 during a normal work week. Got 26 on a trip back from Homestead.

The best I've got so far is 21mpg, my average is around 20. that's mostly highway although a funny thing happens when I hit the on ramp, I just can't seem to keep the thing under 85 with very frequent blips over 100 and occasional 130+ stabs. Needless to say I'm pretty happy with my mileage given my OPEC loving driving style.
