I have completed my journey to being a douche, felt the vehicle needs to match the owner.

So after 10 years of beebopping around in my Sportage, I let my impulses get the best of me. I went to the Dodge dealer to check out their Challengers, but they had nothing V8 and 6spd manual, all V6 auto Challengers. Lame.

The sale manager said "that Mustang is a stick, take it for a test run". I knew what would happen if I drove it, he knew it too, so I waited a few days. Monday morning rolled around and I called to tell them to get the paperwork rolling.

It was nice not having a car payment, as well as having a reliable AWD turbo vehicle with room to do stuff. Mustang, not really cut out for camping and such.

Anyway, got this 19 GT with PP1 installed, along with factory optional wheels. She had just under 9k miles when I bought her, now I am about to hit 29k and still smells new and still puts a big shiteating grin on my face.

I can't believe how high these modern small blocks rev. 7500rpm redline from the factory, power doesn't really kick in until about 3200rpm or so. As for mods, nothing big yet, just did: k&n panel filter, x pipe, resonator delete, two Flowmaster Super 44s, random exhaust tips, tint, TB spacer, new rear tires (295/40/19 to complement the 255s up front), and some interior accents.

Here she is, if you've seen a Mustang, you have seen them all. Love the color and it is hard to argue with 460hp and 420lb/ft right out the box.

With the reduced rotational mass, the inertia point (amount of energy required to incite movement) is lower too. That makes engine responses quicker, and it allows the flat-plane V8 to rev far higher than a cross-plane crank V8 can
I will take your word for it, I don't know a whole lot about all that you listed, lol.

I'm no authority. I Googled it.
My Son Adam has a '18 Stang with the same flat plane coyote motor.
I'd get one too if it were available in Hunter Green (i.e. Bullet).
Next year maybe when my taxes are paid.
It would be my 4th Stang - 64-1/2 Fastback, 84 GT-350, 91 5.0.
Have fun with yours.

Congrats on you stang bro! Their really great cars. I’ve got two and love them! 🤙🏽
Thanks man. It is such a fun car and you get a lot for your money. As you know, the ass end is easy to bring around if you get too cute with low gear turns from a dead stop, lol.

Post some pics of yours.

Nice, I love Foxbodies, those are the ones I fell in love with as a kid growing up.

This is correct for the voodoo engine.
This. Jim's Mustang is just the normal Coyote V8 with the cross plane crank. Still a revver, but "only" to about 7.5k rpm. The Voodoo (flat plane) is the one that goes over 8k.

The Coyote V8 has always been "high revving".

The colour I like and it's a manual trans too...

Yeah, the new Bullitts are nice, but it is just a visual package for the GT, they didn't work the engine or create a ground breaking bit of software. Not hating it, just sad to see people scurry after them when a GT is cheaper and just as fast, not to mention the crazy price wars that go on behind everyone's backs.

Sorry for the tangent, lol.

EDIT* Actually...

But, what you don’t get with the GT, is the Bullitt’s 20 extra horsepower, thanks to a modified version of the Shelby GT350’s intake manifold; making 480-horsepower, versus the GT’s 460.

Enjoy the car , they sound amazing. I can only imagine how fun it is to drive.

I have to make a video or two, figure out how to post them.

First startup of the day is always good and loud. Obviously a rolling start is fun in 3rd gear (like most manual trans) and my fave is stomping on the fun pedal while in tunnels or an underpass.🥳

Correct, and you will never see the difference, GT vs Bullitt is a drivers race all day long. This is why I said they didn't work the motor, which they did not. At least get her to 500 even.
