I finally took a test drive in a SRT-4. Although I didn't drove it that hard I was pretty impressed how easy it was to get the car to accelerate fast. It was also funny how the salesman try to explain the car to me, he didn't seem to know a lot about the car. Anyway I hope to get one by next year.

One thing I remember was him pointing to the turn signals calling them the high beam indicators.

I don't recall his name. I went over mostly because to see how the car drives. When I finish school I hope to get one. But I'll keep that in mind thanks.

Salesmen are always classic. They can never ever ever just give you a simple yes or no answer. I test drove a used Subaru STi a few weeks ago. It was obvious that the previous owner was a cigarette smoker as soon as I got in the car. The upholstery wreaked like an ashtray so fucking bad I had to say something, but then the salesman tried to convince me it was just him...he had been smoking earlier. Yeah OK. I was gonna mention that we'd been talking for 10 minutes before the test drive and I hadn't smelled cigarette smoke on him but oh well. Most of them are just dumbasses.

When I first went to test drive my SRT-4 , I walked up to it and said, "I would like to drive this SRT-4." He said, "Fine", and went to get the keys. He came back started the car and then I noticed the mileage. 216!!!! I inquired about the mileage and he said that it was because they only had the one SRT-4 for people to test drive. I found that interesting, because we were standing RIGHT NEXT to a black one. It was obvious that he had no damn clue what he was talking about. During the test drive I tried asking him questions about the car, and all I got was "Huh, yeah, uh, uh." My wife and I proceeded to throw his ass around the back seat on the test drive.

When the salesman was talking to me about the car I didn't really paid any attention because most likely I would have knew more about the car than him. Also I just wanted to drive!

he probably meant that of the "x" amount they had on the lot, the one he got is the only one that could be beaten on... err test driven

I'm curious why the dealership would be scared to allow us to test drive the car? Is too many people test driving it or driving it too hard?

yea my salesman was cool as hell when I bought mine. I went up to him and told him I want to drive an SRT-4. When we got in I told him I probably know more than you and I will buy the car but I want to drive it everywhere...city, highway, WOT, brake hard, etc...he goes no problem. We just bullshitted about everything but the car for a 40mi 1hr test drive and then I bought another SRT on his lot with practically no miles.
