Hey everyone!

I have heard random mentions of this factory boost leak venturi line. I think it is supposed to purge fumes from my gas tank / evap canister. Is there any way this can be deleted? I did some searching but haven't found any solid, up to date threads.

I see some people saying cap it and I see some people saying for the love of god, don't.

I personally wouldnt do it, dodge made it like that for a reason. If its a tiny leak, it shudnt have much of an effect.

Its small enough it has no affect... Its only there to provide canister purge when you are in boost for extended periods of time in high temperatures to help prevent fuel vapor odor. It was removed from the PT turbo after '05. So either cap it off or leave it. Either way it wont hurt you.

In my case it was a BIG boost leak. I capped the line getting boost from the turbo, and left it where it could get vacuum from the TB and Intake.

Old thread, but it got me wondering. I deleted this line years ago on my SRT-4 with no issues.

Very interesting! I picked up a PT GT recently and I plan on doing a boost leak test. Probably going to remove that line. The lines are crazy on those cars!
