I pulled the throttle body off last night. What a big gobbled up mess.

1st the throttle body is about 1.75" I.D. WTF

2nd there is a big venturi inside the throttle body WTF

3rd there is a mid piece that has this jacked up O-ring WTF

4th the inlet into the manifold is tiny and rough WTF

The good news is that these are all simple mods. The bad news I don't want to pull my manifold and send it to Extrude hone and have the car be down for a week after finally getting it back. Any body who wants to do this stuff and document the dynos I think there will be alot to gain.

Yeah I was thinking of doing the same thing. IM goign to polish my manifold too, but im waiting till I get my mkiii supra up and running before I do.

Then again, maybe I can drive the audi with no insurance and fake plates?


I did not think the throttle body would be only 1.75. Maybe I can open it up as long as the throttle plate does not become an issue.

i'm interested in e/h if someone gets some dynos. i'd prolly buy a second intake all together in case of engine problems (warranty work)

I would like to have it done also but I don't care to be without my car for however many weeks it takes for it to get shipped to them it done and then shipped back. If we could get a little group buy going were we buy another Intake manifold have it Ported and Polished then it get it swapped out send it to the next person and so on so they are not out a car for like a month. Anyone Intrested?

Hector do you have an account set up with extrude hone? If so have you used them before? What would they charge?
