I have a buddy that can make me a 2.5" cat back with mandrel bends like the mopar one to save some money. my question is how loud would it be if i just left out the resonator?

I can buy one to put in but then it might be in the same price range as the Mopar cat back.

My friend has an 03 with a custom 3 inch turbo back exhaust with no resonator and it sounds beautiful, not loud at all, actually lower and more agressive tone than stock. (forgot to mention he has a single exit, with an HKS Hi-Power Muffler)

My friend has a 3" BDJ turbo back exhaust w/no cat, no resonator, no muffler...side exit exhaust. It sounds incredibly loud. Scares small children off the street. But its sweet as hell. The popping is much louder, u can hear the turbo spooling, and the o-so-famous flames shoot out at WOT. If you don't like a loud car I wouldn't do it. Around here nobody gets pulled over for loud exhausts or things like that so he has nothing to worry about. If the police in your area are assholes, then you will be getting numerous fix-it tickets

i would be keeping that cat only because its illegal here not to run it, but i think 2.5" with no resonator should be alright.

i drove a v8 car before with straight pipes pretty much so loud shouldnt be a problem but the cops might be
