Have you tried a search in the Midwest Regional and site wide? The peeps in Chicago were many and really active on here in the past. They might have posted lots of info on the emission checks.
Emissions Rejected HELP!!!
Hey Guys,
so here is whats going on with my car, I have had the car for the last year and it is now time to take it in for emissions, I live in Chicago the worst possible state because of emissions testing laws. I have now been rejected 3 times. The first time I took the car in I had a stage 1 pcm on it so the results on the 1st test were expected since I cant pass in Illinois with a stage 1. The other 2 times I had the a stage 0 PCM that I bought from ebay programmed to my vin and the results were the same. I drove the car for 2 weeks with the stage 0 before taking it in. Today I went to the dealer got the pcm reflashed and once again there all coming back not supported on my OBD2 Scanner.
Stage One:
Engine Misfire: Ready
Fuel System: Ready
Comprehensive Comp: Ready
Catalytic Converter: Not Supported
Evaporative System: Not Supported
Heated O2 Sensor: Ready
Oxygen Sensor: Not Supported
Secondary Air System: Not Supported
A/C Refrigerant : Not Supported
EGR Flow: Not Supported
Heated Catalyst: Not Supported
Stage 0: Same As Above
If you guys can please give me some advice on this and what you think it could be. I need to pass emissions by July 1st or I cant get my registration renewed.
Other mods that I know of:
CAI
BOV (dont know what kind)

I'm from south suburbs of chicago, Tinley area. I just passed my emissions a few months ago. This was my brothers old car but I bought it off him. I'll ask him what he knows about that. In the meantime, Not Supported usually means it was turned off if I remember correctly.. Do you have any sort of tuning device or are you on factory tune?
You can also try contacting Duster360, he's a good tuner from Illinois and very knowledgeable. He might be able to help you out, his website is www.needlesstorque.com

There is a lot of confusing information in the original posters first comment in this topic that does not make any sense.Did you ever figure out the problem?
You should probably open your own topic, describing precisely what the symptoms are for the emission problems you are facing.
