Looking for sportline lowering springs opinions... how do you guys like them? They do like a 1.8-2.0in drop is this too far if you stick with 17's? Also for you more conservative drivers how long have you had yours on your SRT-4?

I have 17X7 rims and i also have the sport line with tokico illumina's so that would not be a problem. It depends what you want if you looking for a comfortable drive then this is not for you. If you looking for handling and a race car feel then you found your springs. I might be selling my set up here pretty soon. I dont go to the track that often so dont really need them.

*Edit* Dont put these springs on stock struts because they will blow out.
o_O

I have heard of people blowing out their stock struts using lowering springs. On the other hand i have a buddy who has had the sportline's for 2 years on stock struts and no problems, another guy i know has had them on his tibby for 4 years and no blown struts.
Can anyone tell me why this is? Maybe its that they are careful and don't drive 60+ mph on city streets every time they get in their car? It just seems a little absurd that your struts will blow out if you buy lowering springs when i haven't seen personally any issues on friends cars.
:wah?!:
hmm

Thought so... well i drive normal and if i race its at the track otherwise i just take it easy. i think there should be a stickie if you drive like an asshat dont use these springs! EVER or for that matter dont use anything but stockers or S1's....
ill get my sportlines and tell you how they do and if they suck ballz then i was wrong.
1.8-2.0 is the prokit

the sportlines are 2.0-2.4

i had sportlines on my 1st srt, and the ride sucked, but it looked awesome.

on sunday they are going on my (new) srt

im the kind of person who will sacrafice ride quality for looks...but yea, youre talking about the prokit, not the sportlines.:readclose:
who cares about comfort, performance and looks baby!

I had a VW dropped 2.5 inches on stock shocks(100k on shocks) and had no problems. But to what your talking bout...Yes you will blow shocks IF you cut the bumpstops down too far or take them off. You will have to cut the bumpstops down (from what I've heard) just make sure not to take too much off:thumbsup:

Just got some sportlines for my car...will be putting them on this weekend:eveilgrin .
hey

thanks for the responses i think instead of the sportlines ima go with the prokit has a little more performance qualities...or so im told. But i talked with a couple ppl in my srt-4 club and they said sportlines would be suitable for looks and performance. the sportlines are mainly for looks.
