hey sup all..

i just bought my srt4 this week. ive been looking at the site to do research on how these things are taking to mods..

its seems we keep getting CEL's..

anywayz i plan on getting a MBC to achieve faster and alil higher boost levels..probly 16 psi...

now how is my ecu going to take to this?? will it sense more psi therefore dumping more fuel or just throw codes??

also wat r some other effective mods that the srt4 seems to be taking well?

at wot temps stay low. the computer does a fine job of wasting your fuel and keeping the car cool. just be careful at say.. 80% throttle, it doesnt dump as much gas to compensate for the higher boost. either keep it under 5 pounds while out running or WOT. dont sit at ~80% throttle for more than 5-10 seconds.

What will happen if you do??
Running lean will cause your cylinder to run extremely hot and cause some bad heat which melt pistons (especially our cast pistons).

I think it would be hilarious to watch somebody bring their car car in for service on a tow truck and when the service rep asks what the problem is they get handed a timeslip along with a piston that didn't want to stay in the block.

just remember our set up is not the same as the dsm or WRX guys. because they can run 20 pounds doesn't mean we can.

I think someone posted the motor was starting to lean out at 17 or 18psi. I am putting some 100 in on friday and going to the track on saturday with 16 or 17 psi as long as my a/f doesn't read too close to lean for my taste.

I will take a picture (digi cam and no scanner) and mail my timeslip to someone when I get it.

So if I lock mine to 14.5 or 15 psi, is that low enough not to have to worry about 80% throttle?
