733 Views 14 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  FtBraggSrt4
I have to live on my own now so I was wondering what is a good ECONOMY CAR that saves a lot on gas, and the insurance would be low for a 20 year old with 2 tickets one 3 years ago and other 5...what car would be the best under 10k? I was thinkin civic , eclipe rs 90's ,Normal neon, mirage?

Anyone wanna throw some at me thanks?

Kia Rio. Just don't get in an accident. Even more a tin can than the Neon. :jester:
Get yourself a 4x2 Ford Ranger with a 4cyl about a 97 or 98 .
Should be about the lowest insurance cost.
You may want to check feuleconomy.gov. Daewoo's are usually very inexpensive cars with decent gas mileage.
Toyota echo maybe.....
I have an older infiniti G20 ('94) which is reliable and pretty good on gas.
I've got a black 02 civic ex 5 speed 2 door all options with I think 37K on the odometer...I owe 7500 on it. I bought it for my wife and she drove it for 3 months then hated it so I bought her an 05 sebring instead. We've seriously had this car just sittin in the driveway for probly a year now...I start it up and drive it around the block every now and then and that's about it. If you got the cash or can get the cash i.e. loan parents etc I'll hook it up for ya. BTW, my wife was getting just over 38mph on the highway with it. Oh yeah and it's also got a hooker muffler on it :) Other than that bone stock
I have a ford aspire for my commuter car. It is not the nicest looking car but it has been very reliable for me. I got it for 800 bucks and it only had 65,000 miles on it. O yea, it gets 40+ mpg.
keep the srt 4

i had a 2000 civic with 113,000 miles and it never had any problems and to fill up was only $25 a week and i drove pretty far for work.
keep the srt and buy a bike....you cant beat the fuel economy of a bike, and i dunno bout cali, but here in FL you dont have to have insurance on a bike if its a). less than 10k (i believe) or b). its paid off/in full
