Does Anyone have any dyno numbers from an SRT-10 Viper, cause the guys on the SRT-4 forum say that the Viper makes 420whp stock but i said it was closer to 500hp, who is right?

There's only a 10-11% drivetrain loss on the SRT-10's from what I've seen posted. Here's my dyno sheets:

stock is 500/525 at the crank. Most SRT-10's are puttin 430-450 to the ground.

Look closely at the graph. She's hitting ~160mph in 4th gear at rev limit. Guy's at the dyno thought that was really cool.

thats not only a great sheet, but wow is the car running rich! If you can possibly lean it out a bit I'm sure there is extra power in there :)

Here is yesterday's dyno sheet from my 100% bone stock 2005 SRT-10:

Most actually figure a driveline loss of 12-15%. I try to be conservative and use a 12.5% correction factor (RWHP / .875). The factory horsepower ratings for the Viper is as follows:

1992 - 1995: 400 Horsepower
1996 RT/10: 415 Horsepower
1996 GTS: 450 Horsepower
1997-2002 GTS - RT/10: 450 Horsepower
1998 GT2: 460 Horsepower
1999 - 2002 ACR: 460 Horsepower
2003 - Current SRT-10: 500 Horsepower

Hope that helps! Oh yeah, and I need to update my user name - now Y2K5SRT. ;)

Come on, 10% loss for a RWD car? Are you for real?
Ever thought Dodge maybe underrating the engine? Dodge has a habit of doing that. Does the crank HP of 215 for an '03 SRT-4 ring a bell?

I can confirm that number from Todd at Arrow Racing. The tuners like using a bigger number because it makes their work look better.

The diveshaft on a Snake is less than 24 inches long and made out of aluminum... which means very little rolling resistance.

Who cares about drivetrain loss??? You drive around with what your car puts to the wheels. In this case it is pobably around 450-460whp.

Y2K is cheating again. He knows his car runs rich so he uses beano to keep the gas down. Okay, Chris , I know your numbers are great, but you seem to always get the good ones, and just glad I could provide. Dyno numbers usually come out the best in Vipers after they have 3-6K miles, but Chris M. seems to have a magic touch and he gets the good ones right from the start.
