thats not true,
i got just the dtec FC... and sent it back to turbonetics, for an upgrade, and paid the whatever the additional cost was... took about a week or so.
know this though, i had to send them back the little black box, and during that time, my car ran soooo shitty, i parked it and borrowed a friends car.
it was not sending a TPS signal which was why it ran like dookie.
i got just the dtec FC... and sent it back to turbonetics, for an upgrade, and paid the whatever the additional cost was... took about a week or so.
know this though, i had to send them back the little black box, and during that time, my car ran soooo shitty, i parked it and borrowed a friends car.

he asked if he could just buy the bc part seperate and incorporate it into the FC. answer is no.
yes, you can send the box out to get switch/reprogrammed. but why go thru the trouble of having your car down?
