But you got a sweet ride! 8)
let me rephrase

Except for the rich folks (gdflys :D ), what DP, and what % you got.

I was planning on dropping 19995 as my DP, but thats outta the question now, and I want to keep as much cash in my pocket as possible, until I sell my other car.

Cali
Dropped 1k, and got 4.9% (but that was through my credit union). My loans was approved on Dec 22nd. I think Chrysler's best rate is also 4.9%, but I'm not sure.
down payment

My dealer says this car qualifies for the no money down, no payments for 12 months!!
Maybe some day he'll get one or order one for me! :D
That's awesome if it's true. I'll have to ask my dealer about that. I planned on putting down half and selling my car to pay the rest, but if I have 12 months, I should be able to save up the rest by then and when I sell my car, I can use that money for any upgrades I want. Muhahahahah

Wow, no downpayment. Your payments are probably around $400 or so monthly. I plan to put a couple grand down payment, and hoping that they might honor that friends/family employee discount. If not, no skin off my back. Anyone heard if they were taking it or not?
I'm still wondering about EP myself. i really hope they take it. I plan on putting down 2-3 grand along with trading in (or possibly selling) my 2k lx which will hopefully be worth 6500 (7500-8000 selling).
i'm trying to drop 6k down, and get EP... i'll be crossing my fingers!
Well I haven't picked up my car yet. But when I do I plan to put down about $10,000. No less than $8,000 and no more than $14,000.
ultimately i dont want to finance more than 10,000...
is there really a no payments till 12mts deal......HUMMMMM i need to find more about this one!
Just as a side note to some of you putting $10,000+ down on this car or any car for that matter. It is MANDATORY for a dealer to report to the IRS sums 10G and above so they can audit you. This is how they catch criminals and drug dealers. Not all dealers tell you this, but it's a fact. I know this cause I was a car salesman. (for those of you who didn't know) So, if you're audit trail is clean, pay away!! Somebody I knew paid 17G's cash for a camaro and he got audited. BUSTED, cocaine dealer, now serving time!!
Its not guaranteed you'll get audited.. But if your income level doesn't warrant the outlay of cash, you could get audited. If you want to pay cash for the car, get the financing, then pay it off in large chunks over the next few months.. won't raise any red flags..

Just so everyone knows.. There are no incentive deals offered for the SRT4.. At first they had it listed as a 2500 rebate, or 0% down depending on the offer, but its no longer listed on their website. Dealers may be misinformed, and if it slips through, great.. But don't count on it..

Dodge intentionally dropped the neon name from the SRT-4 so there wouldn't be legal issues about not offering the same incentives.

does trade in count as dp? ie: if you have 6000 car and 4000 cash do they just look at the 4g?

You mean for the 10k irs thing? No, the'd only look at the cash transaction.
cool, thats the info i was looking at, although i think i'll be staying under 10k total its still a possibiliy i might have that much saved... thanks

Thank you for the clarification. The dealer will submit the proper paperwork, BUT, it's still up to the IRS if they want to audit you.

They only look at CASH....Personal checks etc. NOT TRADES.
