So, I've been looking into the SRT for a couple weeks now. I'm graduating in May, and since I should have a job that pays good, I'm looking at new rides. I was looking at trucks mostly (hello Hemi!). Anyway, I heard about www.ridemesrt4.com on the radio, checked it out, entered the contest.

I'm on spring break right now, and just got back from San Diego. Right before I left, I got an e-mail:

Congratulations! You were recently selected as a Racing School Event Finalist Winner of the RIDE ME. DRIVE ME. WIN ME. SWEEPSTAKES in which you were automatically entered when you completed and submitted an Official Entry Form at www.ridemesrt4.com. As a Racing School Event Finalist Winner you will have the opportunity to put the SRT-4 through its paces and find out what Ride Me. Drive Me. Win Me. is all about!

It is our pleasure to inform you that you have won two (2) tickets for you and a buddy of your choice to the SRT-4 Racing School Session scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2003 in conjunction with the AMA Motorcycle Races & Extreme Auto Fest at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA plus the chance to win an Official SRT-4 Street Team Blender Demonstrator manual transmission vehicle.

Your tickets and all the other stuff you need to know will be sent to you by express mail delivery and you should receive it no later than Thursday, April 24, 2003.

On behalf of the West Business Center Division of DaimlerChrysler Corporation, please accept our congratulations and our sincere appreciation for your participation in the RIDE ME. DRIVE ME. WIN ME. SWEEPSTAKES.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, May 4th!

If you have any questions, please respond to this email or call me at 516-997-xxxx, extension 10.
That's right boys and girls, I'm going to get a day of "SRT-4 Racing School" from the "Blender" demo team. And I'll be one of 25 ppl who are going into a drawing to win an SRT-4!

I've read a bunch of reviews. (And, I've obviously been reading the forums.) One thing they mentioned in the reviews was the possible discomfort of the seats for 6'ers. I'm 6'5" with shoes on. So, I went to the local dealership (www.razzari.fivestardealers.com, have the best looking of the two colors: Black and Silver), and sat in one. The should restrainsts might get tiresome, but the lumbar is sweet. It's only a little more cramped than my '89 S-15 Jimmy.

Man, I can't wait to race one of these things. Oh, and to win one... I'd wet myself.

Anyway, 'hi', I'm new here :D (been lurking for a few days). And I'm digging on the SRT-4. Back to the topic: did anyone win their SRT? Anyone get close?

wizurd

Will mos' def' bring the digicam along for the ride.

It looks like who ever I bring will be in on the racing session, too. I know very few people near here who can drive stick, so my buddy from L.A. might be coming up (just got a '99 Maxima, after not finding a 4dr Stratus R/T w/stick).

Anyone one want to pick me up in their SRT-4 and attend with me? I'm almost serious. My girl would probably be upset if I took a 'stranger' over her, even though she doesn't drive stick (her '67 Mustang 289 is auto - will definitely be a little race if I win: favor-wager anyone?).

But, if anyone wants to come and see some SRT-4s on the track, I think the tickets are $10 (check www.infineonraceway.com), and you never know if they might let some current owners on the track to show us newbies how it's done.

Man, I can't wait.

Yeah, I heard there was an SD event, too. I almost entered that one as well! Worth the drive.

Good luck on yours,

This isn't about the Blender event, But does anyone remember the SRT-4 racing school competition they had on MTV nearly 5 months ago?

That's how I first heard of the car - like 10 people were picked for the school - they did an hour long show on it, and the winner got a brand new SRT-4.

He was this kid who didn't even really want to be a racecar driver, but he could drive really really well. I wonder, does anyone know this guy???

Only 11 people in the drawing?!

Damn, my chances are getting better. I know 25 people got the e-mail, so I figured maybe 20 would show up, but 11? Hell, I hope they all skip out - I need a new car.
