What do you mean, "fucking it up delivering"? Most people use this as a daily driver so it would be no problem. It even has 4 doors for those large pizza orders!

EDIT where are you in TX?

i mean do you really know how much a DOMINOS driver has to drive...
imagine driveing like 60 mph on average for 8 hours and in bettween constantly starting and killing the motor... my concern goes deeper than just driving it hard and hitting a few bumps or getting a few dings...

I would like to see this answered truthfully as well I have similar concerns about driving 30k miles a year! And mental I know how you feel I managed a Dominos in Waxahachie,tx 30 miles south of Dallas for 1 1/2 years and worked for them a total of 3 so your concerns are real and should be. Performance cost money the only question is how much!

As far as engine longevity/durability, I don't think it would be a problem. These things don't get the best gas mileage though (you are probably looking at 20mpg), and of course the regular wear/tear from driving so much would bother me on a new car as well. (What else are you going to do with a car if you can't drive it though..??)

I would not deliver pizza in my srt-4. I used to deliver for pizza hut in my Shadow, and I put at least 50 miles per shift on it, even on a slow day. All the starting and stopping isnt good for it, and neither is turning the car off and on and so frequently. It may not be anything noticeable, but wear and tear adds up eventually. Id just hate to feel like I was already tearing up my new car. And yeah, the gas money alone would kill you. And if youre delivering pizzas for a living, chances are you arent too rich. Driving stick in the city can be a pain in the ass sometimes. I cant imagine how tired my left foot would be from all that shiftin :p

The engine / drivetrain should be bullet proof if left stock.
But, 20 mpg and a horrible turning radius, and tires that might
last 25,000 miles dont add up to a good delivery vehicle.
Not to mention the insurance....

Do yourself a favour and get a end of year deal on a Golf > $14,000

Good Luck

a friend near me that goes by MikeR on the boards owns a black srt-4. he drives over an hour to work everyday. 3k miles a month at least. his car goes to the track and all and still hasnt had a problem yet. he runs into the worst traffic I-95 has to offer, through philly, and his car never acts up or anything :) ever since i found that out ive had a new appreciation for the srt-4. he still spins them till 3rd  bastard!

Ah yes, the joys of delivering. :gay:

My family has owned several pizza places throughout the years. I only delivered in the srt-4 for a few months. It is not the best car to deliver in because of the viper seats in the front. The ass bolsters are so high that the pizza bag cannot firmly be seated in, so it must be put in the back. If you havent noticed, the back seats are angled back slightly, so the pizza will tilt. This causes you to put something underneath the pizza bag, like a book of cds, to even it out. So unless you want to get the airbag seats, dont get the srt4, or get another job.
