crane makes cams for the 2.4L PT cruiser engine which should work on the SRT-4.... the one that that has their "split duration" goes from 1500-6800 RPMs, now does that mean that your engine basically idle's at 1500 RPM... and if so... wouldn't that make it alot harder to stall? :?:

oh, ok..... i thought that it was actually changing the rpm where you engine would idle at..... because i thought i remember some first generation neon owners saying they replaced their cams and their idle was rougher because it was idling at a higher RPM.

This is not unusual for cam lifts like this requires an higher idle postioning on the TB. On the current Swift GT, prior Turbo car, idles around 1250 RPM for a smooth idle while clutch is engaged or netrual gearing. Anything less than that you will noticed a real rough idling. It better for the car to launch at a lower gear. The top end stock cams and lifters were good for 8400RPM from the factory before modding.

Don't worry about the idle...
