Hey guys. I'm looking to purchase a big turbo kit set-up for next summer (hopefully) if I have the money. I was just wondering if you guys can maybe give me a link to other threads where Big Turbo SRT-4 owners talking about everything they had to buy, and how much, for their big turbo upgrade. If not, can some people please help me out here and give me a rough estimate on how much everything will cost? If you can include stuff like dyno time, tuning, etc. That'd be great.

Thanks guys.

Remember, incase there's been hundreds of threads like these, if you can just help me find other threads that'd be even better.

You can buy the complete Psi-fi kit for $3600 it comes with all required parts to run safely and powerfully, and NO tuning is needed it comes with a pre-tuned piggy back (power paq)!

Thanks for the quick reply. Is that $3600 including the new GTS Turbo, or whatever the name is, the really big one? Lol. Did they update their website yet?

By the time you are ready to purchase, the Mopar Stage 3 kit will be available for a price in the $3000's.

Of course, it's not going to be as cool as the other kits because it will look like an OEM system and you won't need to tinker with tuning it and stuff...

So Dale, will mopar sell rebuild cartridges for said turbo's? how does one get replacement parts for em? buy a new unit? or are these turbos guaranteed to last forever?

Nothing to do with cool, the demographics for the people buying big turbo kits will most likely take their cars to the track and fiddle with em (and some will break em). The availability of parts is a big deal, and it's where these T3/T4 turbo's shine. Mopar could have gone with a conventional mitsu turbo on S3 (not this reverse rotation bs) with a split manifold / turbo setup instead of an all-in-one. The aftermarket has shown that bigger turbo's can indeed fit.

Yeah. I just read something like a little over 4Gs for the GTS-61 Turbo Kit and 600+ whp with consistant 120+ traps. Like, alright. That's what I'm getting. But next summer, there might be a lot more stuff out.

Is there a thread that has more details on this turbo? Like size compared to the common big turbos t3/t4, when the turbo reaches full spool, etc?

Description: The GTS61HP is a perfect turbo for the Street/Strip Import racer that has significant engine modifications. Combined with the patented Innovative Dual Ceramic Ball Bearing System this turbo has been proven in applications like the Turbo Trix Mitsubishi Evo VIII that holds the current Evo record of 9.95 sec at over 149mph!!!!!

Pretty sure the above will be the turbo in the GTS61 kit..hopefully Ant will correct me if I am incorrect :)

you forgot to mention that for the price it aint gonna make the same pwr as aftermarket kits.

it's just a fact if you want big pwr from a car got to go with aftermarket.

hell I know people with 500 bucks in there car total that can whoop a stg2's butt.

then again from what I rember your a big mopar/dcx fanboy so I doubt you will ever see that some people want more out of there car then just lil upgrades like a factory offers.

mopar ain't ever gonna release a set up for our car that will outpower a big aftermarket kit.

And not everyone gonna want a big aftermarket kit either. The stg upgrades now are just about perfect for those that are buying them cause they get what they want and need out of em, some of us would rather have a good bit more.

Am I glad that this car was made yep and also glad that there is factory upgrades for it as well. It's just that not all of us have the same want's and to me dialing a car in is rather fun.

No upgrade for anycar is ever set to maximize the car. It gets ya up there but every car needs a fine tunning.

O yeah and look to spend about 4-5 grand for everything for a big turbo upgrade package.

O and as for tinkering with things don't you have to tinker with the boost controller settings and water injection, and O yeah the wga.

going fast is cool and never goes out of style.
