i've done this to my older turbo probe and it did wonders so i tried it on the srt-4 :) i must say, revs are much crispier and cleaner now.. real cheap, only $4.79 from autozone. it's a 19" lawn & garden battery cable  i bolted one end to the free hole on the head other end to the negative terminal (of course, hahaha) hey it's cheapo but it works

ok, i dare someone to try this then let me know if i'm just imagining a difference

btw, for those who don't know, a supplemental ground strap to the head ensures the sparkplugs are getting a good ground= a stronger spark

So you got the cable at Autozone?(Lawn and Garden Cable)??
yep, it's a Lynx brand... actually any ground strap will work, i just like this one because it is thicker than the stock ground cables...

there are other holes on the head which are closer to the stock battery setup ;) intake and tb are awesome  a bit loud but the gains make it all worth it.. not carb legal yet but iceman is working on an eo...

not sure what size but it was the one spare bolt left over from the stock battery tray, perfect size btw...

Know people at local hardware store...think they'll let me just take random size bolts and see which one fits, then just pay for that one.. Be silly to buy a whole bunch of bolts to see which one fits.

M8-1.25 X 20mm for the bolt hole on the front driver side of the head next to the intake manifold. Fits perfectly.

Did this mod. Couldn't confirm any gains on the butt dyno or any cleaner revs, but you can't always feel differences. Anyways, for under 5 dollars, I don't see any problem with this mod!

I found one for 4.48 at advanced auto  Does anyone know other mounting points for grounds? like the p-werks grounding kit does. They don't show ya where they mount them really. kit costs 79 bucks...for like 7 cables...uh..no. 7X around 5 bucks for cables at auto store...uh, 35 bucks. Save...45 bucks.

Thanks for the $5 Grounding Kit!

04TurboSRT -- thanks for the great idea!

Went to Autozone and picked up the cable and bolt. Installed it in their parking lot, of course.

The cable is just the right length -- very little slack if your battery is in the stock location. The car seems to start easier and rev a little smoother. Nice!

Yes this was a great idea 04TurboSRT. I got a slightly longer cable to account for the difference in negative terminal location and it worked out great. It was only like $3.50 for me.

It might be psychological but I do feel that the car accelerates smoother. Idle and start-up seems the same though.

actually believe it or not, it's more than just psych.. your wireset puts out a (+) charge and the plugs sit on the head which is (-) grounded... the supplemental cable brings your plugs closer to the ground source= battery :) you're welcome

btw, i there are more old school cheap mods that work... ever heard of fuel pump rewire mod? how 'bout 5th injector mod?
