called out by 300hp evo..??

dude got an evo...put down 305 hp, and 340tq or so. probably has more, but he's low ballin. this is my setup...

I am planning on adding water/meth, cams, and a clutch before i run him. Ill also slap on some bfg's if not full slicks. anyone think i have a chance?

either get a TBE or a Needswings downpipe. Also a check valve to hold some boost. good luck

i doubt it, my friend has an evo w/ like 320whp and it is really fast. youll need a couple more go fast parts

i forgot to add...i have a checkvalve and maxxfab full turboback see....any have any experience with the new audi a4 2.0t?
I don't think so.

He is putting down 300ish to four wheels, which is more then you are to your two wheels.

From a dig, no.
From a roll, eh... no.
depending on your driver mod you should be able to catch up to him in thirdand pass him in fourth. you should run race gas to just in case fore a little extra timing.
even if i run full slicks i wont be close from a roll?...damn...im actually thinking about being sneaky and slappin an e2 or mabey a sst on there
if you run slicks or dr you should have no problem if you know how to drive!

I have a 2007 A4 and an SRT4, and the srt is more fun to drive. The Audi is quick and smooth but the automatic is a little hesitant at the start. During a roll it is strong.

I haven't really pushed the A4 like I do my srt though. Too nice of a car and ride quality makes me drive like an old man:tongue:
im also thinking about removing the balance shafts for a quick hp gain lol!
Dude I've raced two Evo IX's making 315 hp each. Both I can pull the top of 3rd and gain a car MAYBE two by the top of 4th. With 305 it should be a cake walk if you get all those things you've listed.
Oh god..the audi 2.0t...my buddy just got one...spent a grip of money on it...bought and installed a tbe, giac reflash, intake etc... raced him from a 40 roll..wasnt even a race...put like 5 cars on him....pretty much same result from a dig too. those cars are solid and beautiful..but weigh too much and turbo is way to small.
You really want to run him from a 60mph roll. From a dig with a good driver in the EVO you are going to lose. 300WHP on an EVO will put you in the 12.6-12.8 range at about 107-109. It should be a good race from that roll. Especially if you run until 140mph or so. If you are neck and neck until he has to shift into 5th it is all over for the EVO. 5th gear is weak sauce on an EVO. I know I owned one for two years. You will still be in 4th when he needs to make that shift. It has happened to me a few times on each side of the coin. The only EVO I had a hard time beating was my buddies EVO9. He is at 28psi on meth with cams and a custom tune. We are neck and neck in third, once I stop spinning I pull two-three cars on him by the top of fourth. From a dig he kicks my ass bad. 1-3 gear are almost worthless on my car. Good luck with your race. Post up a video...
one of my best friends has a wrx wich had close to 4k in mods (18g, professional tuned on u-tec, etc.) anyways he put down 321hp and 314tq. we played around and from a 40mph roll or higher i can take him, *boost hold shifts* that i think is the key to passing most cars.
from a dig racing an evo your just screwed though.

Here again we agree on the Evo thing again. From a dig, you'd have a HARD time catching up; unless you were on drag radials and/or slicks. From a roll, 40,60 ect it would be close. But for me when I hit 4th gear is when I yank on them.

I think we both spend to much time racing friends. I have raced 10 at least all of which are friends.

Your not going to GAIN any horsepower by cutting the chain.

With those conservative A/F's you aren't going to really going to have a fair fight. You need to get water injection or big set of balls and run your A/F's closer to 12.0 to get the amount of power you need to beat that evo. I have beaten 350+ whp EVO's on my old stock turbo setup, so just because he put down 305hp means nothing. Also, he could have peaked at 305 and could have made about 270 everywhere else.

It's not all about how much power you make, its about the HP to weight ratio. I used to walk this 330hp evo, until he pulled out 500lbs of dead weight out of the car, then I could barely keep him within viewing distance.

2600lb EVO = scary
You should be able to beat it from a roll...but from a dig, your shit out of luck.

I raced my buddy with a EVO XIII, boosting 21psi, and tuned into. Computer says hes putting down 308 to the wheels. He gave me a ride in it, and there is no way i would be able to beat him for a dig. Being able to launch at 5500rpms and hook-up right away...not a chance.

But we went onto the highway after he tuned my car for me, and did a 60mph roll in 3rd gear...we were neck and neck, but he had to shift into 4th before me, and it was over from there. I took him, but it was close.
