I’m probably gonna get a lot of hate for this post but is there a way to tell if you have a bws or factory size turbo previous owner only owned the car few days before sold it to me other mods are tial BOV manual boost controller and Siemens Deka 1025 injectors

The only real way would be to open the compressor housing and measure. Per Modern Performance -

Stock Turbo compressor wheel specs:
  • Inducer - 43.4mm
  • Exducer - 56.1mm
Alternatively, you could check out the tune. My understanding is that the BWS could not run DiabloSport 93 octane level boost without a custom tune without running lean. If I saw 3BAR sensors and a custom tune, I'd likely trust the seller that there is a BWS. Especially if they had a receipt. Most people keep those for expensive items.

If the car was running 19 pounds of boost on factory sensors without a CMR tune, I wouldn't believe them and would walk.

It was running 19 to 20 psi before it lost compression but I don’t have a wideband to monitor the afr but I’m installing one with the new motor I’ll just measure it or just be safe and buy a new one I’m not looking for crazy hp
No wideband is a big red flag there

I know I definitely plan on getting one with the new motor I’ve just been looking up parts on it by serial numbers but I just wasn’t for sure if you could the turbo

BWS should still say TD04 (it's a big wheel STOCK turbo). Some manufacturers may make their own mark.

It does that’s why I was confused with it because everything else like the injectors and map sensor gave me info by the numbers but this didn’t but I’ll just measure it when I get it off
No receipt, no 3 bar, high boost.

I'm hesitant to believe. Maybe someone else has more insight.

Make sure you have everything figured out before you talk to Duster, and be upfront with any and all issues you are having.
