Just wanted to let SRTforums.com know that we finished the prototype of the Cold Air Intake for the SRT-4. It replaces your factory air box...cone filter sits behind headlight assembly, right underneath that "could be" cut out in your hood. Of course, you could get creative and run longer piping down off the front fascia, but that's up to you.

Just wanted to let you know that it is nearing completion...finally. Sorry for the wait. Black, red, blue, yellow, and silver are the colors. (We should do a carbon fiber version shouldn't we???)

Let me do my best to answer some of your questions...

The price point on the CAI has not been set up yet. However, I can guarantee you that the price will be very competitive...i.e., you won't be getting ripped off.

As far as the cutout in the hood goes- that is going to be a mod that you guys will probably have to do on your own. DCX can't do that for you since it changes the structural capacity of the hood. This means that we would have to crash test cars with the new intake "scoop" which isn't going to happen.

Horsepower numbers will be posted as soon as I can get my hands on them...but don't expect them too soon. Most CAI's don't give enough horsepower for you to feel on the "butt dyno" anyway...but it will definitely increase horsepower. It'll look sweet too...especially carbon fiber..dayum.

We'll have several parts and prototype parts on display at the International Auto Salon...they're all coming to a dealership or Mopar Speedshop near you. Remember that we're going to be offering this online as well.

Peace.

BJ, in case no one else does let me say thanks for the info! DCX has done a really poor job of getting this car (or info about it) out to dealers. the srt forums is the best place to get real info and yours is some of the best. thanks for taking the time! still waiting for mine in western mass.
