Today I saw my first SRT4 in person, it was awesome. My roomate and I decided to see if we could find the PVO training that has been going on for dealers here in the Denver area. We found the cars at a dog track, there were a good 20 srt's or so plus a viper, crossfire, and some other random cars. Apparently the training had just ended and the crew there was cleaning everything up. I took a bunch of photos of the cars and then ended up speaking with one of the guys who had been going around with the cars. I found that there are four groups going around doing the training. This particular event had been open to the public yesterday and was announced on the radio. I was very upset at first, that was until he got my roomate and I okay'd to drive the car around the course they had setup. Of course, with no one else out there for the day, we decided not to stick to the course itself and use the entire parking lot. My god does this car haul ass. I had no idea. My roomate has a 3 month old WRX and was very impressed by the SRT. We both agree that the SRT is faster on the top end, and it's fun as hell to spin the tires. I cannot stress how glad I am to finally see and drive an srt. I was worried about buying a car sight unseen as I wasn't sure that I would fit, how I would like the interior, etc. I am 6'5", but I fit great, there is plenty of head and leg room but I definately plan on replacing the pedals for better shifting, the gas pedal seems very recessed. I don't know what the magazines though was odd about shifting, it was fine to me and my roomate. Anyway, can't wait to get one and join the rest of you. In the mean time. I envy you all.

Here's some pics

The intercooler is a little smaller than I had thought from other photos.

We saw this before we had met anyone, damn it was tempting to just hop in and go. I still question whether I made the correct decision of NOT stealing one.

One of the coolest people I ever met, this guy let us drive the car.

My ugly arse next to the color of my choice, well I'm still slightly undecided(silver or yellow). Anyway, I FIT in this car!

Well, that's it. Just had to tell somebody how much I'm in love with this car. Now to just come up with my downpayment and get a co-signer(not enouh credit history).

Wow, I bet that was totally cool, good for you!

You may not have one yet, but you got an opportunity that most people & current owners will never get.

You'll get one soon be patient, then again after today that might not be possible.

Awesome dude. I'm hopeing for such a good experience next weekend (racing school - a la sig). I'm 6'5", too, and I was worried about fitting. I went and sat in one at my dealer, and it seemed fine. Didn't drive it though - I can not wait!

It would be an awesome graduation present for me!
