On Saturday and Sunday, September 18th & 19th, 2004, the Battle of the Imports returns to the Midwest for an all-out war at Route 66 Raceway located in Joliet, IL.

Racers, car clubs, sound competitors, import models and fans will all be converging at Route 66 Raceway for this annual event. With an action packed schedule and an available cash and contingency purse of more than $50,000, you can bet the competition will be fierce.

Drag Racing with Heads-up and Dial-in classes including Fun-Runs
Car Show with over 67 awards to hand out including the brand new Scion xA and xB class
Sound Competitions offered are DB Drag Racing for SPL and USAC for Sound Quality - Both are 2X Points
Import Model Showcase featuring Felicia Tang
$500 Swimsuit Comptition presented by Finestwomen.com
Live Band and DJ Performances on the Prophecy Entertainment Stage
Free giveaways all weekend long in the FREE BOTI raffle

Tickets available at the gate and through Ticketmasters
Adult Saturday $15.00
Adult Sunday $20.00
Child (7-11) $5.00 each day
Kids (6 & Under) FREE

Race Entry $65.00 (Car & Driver) - Sat & Sun
Fun Runs $30.00 (Car & Driver) - Each Day

Thanks for posting this!!! I hear about it a while back but I couldn't remember when it was. It's only 15 minutes from my house. Traffic is a bitch out here when there's races going on. Three days to a week before the race it's just horrible. I'll definately have to see if I can get off of work to get to this.

Im about 20 mins from there, I will be there just so I can get some VTEC badges, hahahaha. j/k
