my friend with his Audi A4 1.8t is callin me out and is pretty sure he will smoke me....
-I have K&n cai, Mopar exhaust, maxxfab Dp w/hi flo cat, S2 w/o toys, ngk plugs gapped at .40, and msd ingnition wires
-He has Bored out 1.8T to a 2.0T, port and polished heads, forged pistons, advanced timing, Huge T3/T4 turbo, and a Downpipe
I asked him if he had higher flowing exhaust or bigger intercooler, he said no~~
what do you all think.... Would i stand a chance?? or should i be able to embarrass him?? or should i avoid him??

that A4 will rip you, dont be too confident
hopefully the kid doesnt know how to drive and you might just keep up with him
but it depends on how many pounds hes running on that 1.8t, if its close to 26+

you have stage 2...so hey...you stand a chance I think..There's a lot of people out there that get too scared and loose from the beginning without even racing...race him for fun...there's no shame in loosing...

yea only shame is getting caught and getting my car impounded~~ or even worse.... who knows~~
but anyways, he said that the people at the shop putting this setup together left a screw or something loose when puttin it back together and that screw got loose and when they went to turn the engine on... it chewed up the piston head and fucked the engine up..... so its in the works of getting rebuilt again~~ i guess ill smoke him for sure right now~~ lol

here's a suggestion, why don't you stop talking crap to other people about how fast your car is, look around the internet (www.google.com) for answers to these questions, and just race someone to race. win or lose you raced a nice car.

I used to own a A4 and got rid of it for the SRT-4 because the A4 stock is a freakin marshmallow. Look at it this way:
huge turbo= slow spool up (so pick an end point for the run)
Port polish...if it wasn't flow tested might not much better/if not worse than stock
Besides the work, he'd have to have a good chip for the ECU...Boost is controlled big by the computer.

As many others said...run 'em. I doubt there you'll have a problem

I have a friend that made 275hp at 15 PSI on a stock 1.8T with a big turbo. I would figure that your friend should be doing much more than that with a built engine and whatnot. If the car isn't even out of the shop then it doesn't really matter though. I know a bunch of people who are always going to be running such and such horsepower next week or when their car is done, but it never seems to get done. I'm not saying that is the case with your friend, but obviously his car needs to be running if he is going to race you..
