Per your threating emails to post pics of product installed incorrectly I am going to try to clear up some confusion right now. CTA is no longer a vendor of Carbon by Design. CTA will try to present a picture of inferior quality product being shipped as A to him. This is completely untrue. We only send A quality unless requested by the customer. I am sorry for the customers in Canada that this affects but if you call in and place your order directly with Carbon by Design I will see if we can work something out to help you. Chris, sorry we cannot do business any longer but with your discount you receive and the amount of customer service involved with you we just do not make any money and it is way to big of a hassle. You seem to complain about everything we do. This will stop right now as our relationship is over.

not to take sides or anything, but i've seen your stuff (CBD) in person .... i know atleast a half dozen people that have gotten carbon fiber from you guys and it just looks like plain trash

in other words i wouldn't be surprised if what you sent CTA looked like a bag of shit

Chris doesn't lie and i've seen a few cars with fitment issues in person. If cta says it's so that's just how it is :thumbsup:

Im sorry to say this.. but Ive seen the major fitment issues *throughout* the east coast of the USA.

CBD = ubber junkest CF ever made.

cf hoods are for ricers anyways. leave them on hondas and put your money toward somethin more worthwhile and safe. last thing i need is someone flying down highway 99 and have his cf hood fly up and smash his windshield in front of me.

I've seen good ones and bad ones and I know first hand that CBD does normally take care of their cusotmers that have issues with their products. That being said I also know Chris and have purchased a lot of stuff from him, he is definitely one of the if not the BEST Small vendors on the site (I say small being that he does not have a dedicated shop). Is it possible that he has received something that slipped through quality control?
Chris is not one to lie or make shit up
John has had great service every time I've spoken to him and always been willing to help.
Hope you guys can work things out, if not I'm sorry to see our Canadian connection for CBD end.

Whats with the drama? Was all that really necessary?

The effect is probably going to be opposite than what it was intended to produce.

To me it says Chris has high standards which is good for the customers. It's also going to get people who's received questionable merchandise come out of the wood work defending him. Even if that stuff is few and far between and everything else is good.

theres more stories out there. remember that not all stories are posted on the web. besides that why threaten someone over a car part? in business you need to accept risk and if the product is not up to par then you dont sell it. no threats need to be made. will wait for other side of story

Hey John, since you started the thread, and in the Canadian section, you better be ready for the big guns. Hey forum members, if any of you have had problems with your CBD products, be my guest and post your remarks and pictures. John already crossed me the wrong way, and on many occasions. I am going to list all of my situations to which I was involved and also post some recent pics of some pretty low grade products. Seeing that CBD posted over the past month about having overstock on "B" grade products, I can see why all of our recent purchases have been absolute garbage.

It won't be soon enough to get the CBD shit off our SRT-4. :jester:

PS: Our company name is spelled CTA Motorsports, not CTA Motosports. Please use the spell checker.

If there was truly nothing worng with your products and your were a stand up guy you would have kept this to PM's instead of comming here and making a thread that was supposed to bash CTA. I can tell you this no one here has anything bad to say about CTA I havent met them personaly but I have talked with them in PM's and they are very help full and full of knowlege.

I was consdering buying a huge amount of CF over this winter from you guys but you can cancel that another manufacturer will be getting my buisness.

Didn't realize that exposing sub par and ill fitting products was a threat. I would read this as you are afraid of exposure.

That's a relief, now we don't have to deal with customer complaints regarding CBD products.

We don't have to try, it's just the plain facts, as results of our and other customer's experiences with CBD.

We only send A quality unless requested by the customer.

If it is "A" grade, I strongly disagree with that statement given some of the products we have received over the years.

You seem to complain about everything we do.

Well, I make observations and constructive criticism based on what I see, and, it's not only me that has had complaints about your products. I'll admit, there are some parts that I do like (because they fit), like your radiator shroud, and fuse cover, but I have a list of items that didn't, and those are the ones that comments were made. I shall be contacting many of CTA's customers whom have and have had your products to take their comments, just to let you know that it's not just me and CTA that has had similar comments about CBD products.

I have a lot to say, a lot to post, but I'll reserve that for another part of this story.

ive known chris for a while now and like myself i know he isnt going to put a shitty production on his car....

ive got alot of carbon fiber on my car and here are some of my complaints
:hi:

1) carbon fiber hood....the ONLY positive thing i have to say about the hood is that it extends in the front so there isnt a gap...thats about it...adding to the extension on the hood you can see the area where they added more C/F to extend it...POOR quality

2) my old trunk from CBD...what a piece of shit....fiberglass hinges.....what the hell were you guys thinking...i had to sell that POS...the hinges were weak, the trunk did not line up....i see the trunk on Jays car and it still doesnt fit properly

3) PVO spoiler....that thing is shit....it will not stay down....ive followed your instructions to the T and still it does not fit right....there are always areas that continue to pop up.....in the winter time i am taking it off and putting super glue on it to stay down

4) your B and C pillars....b pillars should have been a full replacement in my opinion...yes it would be expensive but well worth it...the c pillars just look cheap now and do not sit flush

5) inner and outer door sills....i have them....they fit fine but the quality sucks..i have the rad shround great design, the fuse box cover....why not make it a full cover? and i have a few more things on the car.....

6) the rear diffusor oh man that thing fits like ass

all the other C/F stuff i have on there right now are from other companies

my biggest complaint is the quality i expect to see a nice clean, no flaw product such as my KAMINARI front spoiler :thumbsup:

Big Thumbs *UP* for CTA, Thumbs down for CBD

Chris @ CTA is an outstanding guy who strives to get the best quality product for his customer. He has very high standards for what he sells, and from the one product I have received from CBD via CTA what your supposed "A" grade product is, is sh!t.

I have, like Richard, followed all instructions to properly install the PVO style spoiler, only for it to look like complete and total garbage. This is the second one I received as the first one was even worse.

The first one had such horrible bubbling under the clear, the cutout for the brake light was off center and looked like it was done with a steak knife it was so uneven and rough, the shape was twisted and the clear coat had spider cracks everywhere!

The second one I got as a replacement, which Chris made sure got to me before a big show I had was almost as bad. I spent 6 hrs trying to get it to fit right and the next day it was twisting and pulling up everywhere.

I hope to receive a full refund from CBD through Chris at CTA as I refuse to accept this garbage quality product.

Dude that looks terrible. I've never bought anything from CBD or CTA so I cant really talk. I did however go to CBD's open house last year. It was a cool tour and everything but they made us pay for our own lunch. That was enough to put me off buying anything from them. I dunno, maybe I'm being cheap but it seems like if I invited people over to my house for an open house I'd provide the food free of charge. Just my $.02

Chris, you beat me to it. I was going to post your pics in addition to some that I have from recent problem parts that we had received.

Just to let you know, CBD's first premise is that all problems that we reported were installation related only (and never lack of quality or quality control of their products). That's probably what they are going to tell you when you enquire about returning the spoiler or try to get a replacement.
