ATP Downpipe & Check Engine Light?

I installed the ATP Downpipe w/ the race pipe about 1 week ago. I did not get a CEL (check engine light) until today. I have put about 500 miles since I installed it. Anyone have this problem yet?

ya I've had my race pipe in for about five weeks now, and I got the cel about a week after also. All I can tell is it may be running a little richer, but that can only help when your going all out.

WHen I get my damn data logging software to work, I will start making a fix for the CEL light so you can install a racepipe for the track.

interesting... my CEL just disappeared.. hmm fishy
its a low priority cel.. the ecu will just store it ..
All you need to get is a MIL eliminator, it plugs in line with the O2 sensor, I have them on my saleen, because I have no CAT's on the car. It will trick the computer to think it has a converter. So you won't get a CEL. There are lots of websites that show how to make these for under $20.00, just search under mil eliminator!

This website sells universal mil eliminators, for mustangs, WRX's, and other cars. It will work for our cars to! There are also companys that make direct plug ins just search on the web you will find them.

Thos will not work for our cars. I make one for the WRX and its simular to the poney express. But its not a happy unit for our car. From speaking with a few people, our o2 works on a different o2 scale.

There is really no difference in HP from running the highflow cat or the racepipe portion. Look for drolanders post, he proved it. 3" is huge and wont become an issue till your at some seriosu HP.
