I tried to install the ATP downpipe with the cat, on to my stock exhaust setup last night. Well they say it fits the stock exhaust, but not this one I guess. Its a 04 and I pulled the slip flange off of the stock pipe from the cat and LUCKILY before I pulled it completly off, I check fitted the after cat portion of the ATP pipe, to see if it would slip into the stock exh. Well nope it sure wont. I even tried to enlarge the exh pipe as best I could since its a type that will enlarge and clamp down slightly. That still didnt allow enough for it to slip inside. Its just barely off, but enought to not allow installation withOUT modification to the stock exhaust.

Anyone else out there use this downpipe and have it fit stock exhaust?

i had a similer problem but with a wooden 4x4 and a buddy holding the exhaust i was able to fit it right

it is a little to big the easiest way is just take a grinder to the downpipe. just grind slightly around the outside of the downpipe. where it slips into the stock exhaust.

well I went to autozone adn did the loaner tool thing, for a exhaust pipe expander. It was kinda easy to expand slightly and now its on.

no real difference in the butt dyno but will see soon if it does anything.
