Hi all-

I'm stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany and I'm about two weeks away from getting the SRT-4 I ordered three months ago. I've already made my down, started up the insurance and today received the Bill of Sale. As far as I know I have the first one in Europe but I'd love to find some folks around here to go to Nurburgring and some other racing events with. They have open track (7 euro per lap) plus numerous other courses within a few hours drive. If anyone else has one here and would like a travel/race buddy let me know!

Thanks :)

That's pretty cool. You might be the first in Europe...but I'm the first in the Air Force...or hell maybe even the Armed Forces...can anyone prove otherwise?

I'm stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, KS. Nice to see a fellow airman on here.

Oh absolutely I will! I have a friend here who's a great photographer - we've already made plans to take pics on the autobahn, at the track, in the country...

Europe is beautiful and I can't think of a better American made car (one that I can afford anyway) to have here!

I used to live at Sembach AFB before they annexed it to Ramstein...i miss K town, Ramstein and what the heck Sembach was really nice too. I hope you enjoy the car when it arrives but do me a huge favor please carry a camcorder with so you can film the kills on the Autobahn  .

BTW they still have that old runway entrance to Ramstein open? would be a great place to AutoX

The old runway entrance is open, if you're referring to the area where the tour buses pick folks up at (leads directly to A-6 I believe). They'd have to shut that down before anyone raced it, it's not that long with the new gate and has too much traffic.

if they hadnt given the Sembach flightline back to the germans it would make a good place for road racing. Anyhow anything change at Ramstein?, my mom bought her Volvo 850 right ouside the main gate by the golf course. They still have the Fest at the PX shopping center in K-town? and have you ever been up B40 towards Sembach?

Wow, you guys are bringing back memories... Ramstein, K-Town, Sembach, B40.... ;-)

I used to be stationed at Donnersberg. I used to go to Sembach and Ramstein for shopping, Landstuhl for movies, and I remember the awesome air shows they used to have at Ramstein. Those were some good times for me.

Driving the SRT-4 on the Autobahn is gonna ROCK!

Have fun!

SRT_USAF,

I'm a fellow Sergeant at Tyndall AFB, FL. What kinda AAFES deal did you get on it?? Not like it matters for me, however, I have some subordinates that may be looking to get one once they move over to Europe. Appreciate any inputs you may have. Lastly, congrats on your new purchase!! I can't get enough of mine! I make excuses to the wife just to drive it everywhere!

I got a great deal through ENCS (Military Car Sales) - $19,858 out the door, tax free, shipping included and a $3k rebate. The rebate was a mistake but I had signed the contract before they found out and it was honored. They were initially offering us the Neon rebate until it was discovered the car was sold as just an SRT-4. So, thanks to a miscommunication I happily paid $16,858 for mine :D

Dont forget Camcorder and Digi cam when it gets there  also got any road trips planned? A few suggestions i would make is to read your owner's manual in its entirety, buy yourself a few oil filters (same used on Jeep Liberty), make sure the car is seeing 11-13psi stock and be sure that you got all the bits that are supposed to come with it ( front air dam deflector , floor mats , Front license plate bracket  and all the paperwork). Thanks and luck
