I was thinking of gettin 2 1/2" cat back but not having the resonators. how loud would that be and does anyone have it done?

what about 1 maybe?

Us people with dump exhaust have no resonators. It is quite loud, but not too bad.

I'm running a Billy Boat 3" turboback with no cat or resonator. It sounds like ASS. A Magnaflow resonator/glasspack is on order and going to be installed by my trusted local exhaust shop.

up here some cops can be real pricks for the sound, while others dont care

You can take off both as long as you leave the cat trust me you will like it and it is not too loud!

I have to leave the cat on, its illegal here not to have one and we e-test too so they would find out eventually

I run a 2.5" cat back with no resonators and it's really not that load unless you punch it hard, and with stage 1 I get alot of pops that sound great during deceleration, better than the mopar cat back, I think.

^^^^ I was on your site and you have mufflers, I dont plan on having anything but straight pipes

It's a custom set up I can remove the mufflers and I just run one straight pipe for the track. :readclose

My cat-less/resonator-less 3" isn't too loud. I don't car about volume. There's good loud, and bad loud. With no catalytic converter, or resonator the car sounds like a dump truck, and is annoyingly buzzy at certain rpms/gears; in general very "raspy". That's my goal is to quelch the rasp, and hopefully the volume down overall slightly.

There was a video I ran into here and saved. Can't find the original post. The vid was named "Mike's Custom 3 inch" I believe. Shows a black SRT startup, a few revs, and some footage of it running up/down a two lane highway. Anyway, if anyone remembers the vid; THAT is what an SRT should sound like.

I have the b&b catback it has no resonators. I dont think it is much louder than stock, but it is deeper.

i have 1 resonator, its not much louder, just a little deeper and throatier on deaccelaration, sounds pretty good though.

That's just the thing; the people who still have stock O2 housings and downpipes won't have that dramatic of a change in noise. That stock catalytic converter has dense honeycomb material that absorbs alot of the sound.
